In Last nights game, it was do or die for GAMEOVER. The winner of the second round in the Champions Cup will advance to Premier Division, and the loser will be drafted to First Division.
After an intense second map against mMx (MetroMatix) GAMEOVER managed to win both maps. Starting off the knife round on Seatown where mMx took the knife win. With them winning they were allowed to choose to either Eliminate first, which means they usually get to choose the deciding map from the last two out of the 6 eliminated. In this case it was a best of 3 map's. GAMEOVER got to choose to eliminate the 3 remaining maps.
Starting off on Bootleg with GAMEOVER choosing to Defend first. With it being a fairly high traffic map on B and fridges (above B) GAMEOVER defended well controlling the site with a lot of flashes, which either stopped or slowed their opponents down. Second defence round mMx started to dominate fridges and A side, which meant a change of tactics. GAMEOVER focused on fridges more and manage to control it. finally GAMEOVER winning 13-5.
Second map played was Lockdown, where mMx got to choose the side, they took defence first. Each team taking rounds sometimes one leading by 3-4 rounds at a time. Changing tactics constantly from different SMG routes to smoking places which were never planned to slow it down and draw the opposition. With GAMEOVER being a team that likes to rush and get into the sites and secure them, in this map it did not always work out. The final 4 rounds were very close and intense, with mMx leading 11-10. GAMEOVER pulled off 2 rounds in-a-row with them now leading 12-11. Final round started where it decided if GAMEOVER won the best of 3 maps or had to play the third map. The Final 30 seconds boiled down to 2v2, Where GAMEOVER took down the final 2 mMx players.
very well played to the whole HpX| Gameover team.
